Types of Intervention

What can you do when a friend or family member has a drug addiction? If you plan on talking with them about their addiction, you should anticipate some level of resistance when encouraging them to seek help. In certain cases an intervention is an appropriate and necessary measure to ensuring the individual receives help. A drug addiction intervention is an organized attempt by one, or several, family members and friends, to get an individual professional help, and enter a treatment facility. An intervention is typically a direct confrontation with the drug dependent person. There are many different kinds of intervention including drug rehab intervention as well as Christian drug intervention. While many people suffering from drug abuse or addiction will acknowledge the problem and agree to seek help, if the person you care about is still in denial, an intervention may be a necessary step to save that persons life.
