A Drug-Free Life = A Christian Way of Life

Christian drug intervention program is one of the effective methods ever emphasized in most drug rehabilitation centers. It is implemented in an out-of-this-world perspective when most worldly perspective failed. Most people who are engaged in drug addiction know so much about the drugs they are using, as well as the harsh effects it conspires. So it seems that bombarding them with more stuff about those drugs won’t seem to work anymore. Addressing the key reasons why turn to drugs – sense of belongingness, family attention, escape from reality - seems still to be the best option. And educating them in Christian way seems to cater all these needs of a drug addict.

In a Christian perspective, the one who accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior will be a new being - free from the dark past he had been dwelling(II Corinthians 5:17). That would make him or her feel that his concept of family would change from his family by blood into a family by faith. Therefore, in an intervention service, he can have much attention he or she can get from his Christian family that will fill him towards a new Christian life. Most of all, he or she will learn that God has a 24/7 attention for him or her.

Millions of drug dependents cannot be misguided. They have really found that greatest breakthrough in their lives and make them feel their greatest importance through intervention method. Let it not be said that the Bible said in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.”
